Product Description
IOTA 9930 Amodimethicone can be used as a substitute for Dow Corning 2-8566, Shin-Etsu 801, and Momentive 1708. It is an amino-functional modified polydimethylsiloxane. Due to its highly polar, reactive amino groups, it exhibits excellent adsorption, compatibility, and emulsification properties. The amino groups in the molecule are active groups capable of crosslinking, forming an elastic film, and providing an extremely soft and silky feel. This product is an ideal additive for personal care products such as shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, and perm solutions.

Properties and Applications
IOTA 9930 has excellent adsorption and combing properties. It can be easily emulsified in formulations, providing long-lasting softness, a velvety smooth feel, and easy combing. It serves as a high-quality conditioning agent in hair care products and shampoos.
When added to perm or hair dye products, IOTA 9930 can partially replace ammonia or other amine compounds, helping prevent physicochemical damage caused by thioglycolic acid, its salts, and oxidizers during perming or dyeing.
For hair care products, dissolve the oil phase by heating, then slowly add IOTA 9930 to the oil phase below 50°C while stirring evenly.
Recommended Usage: 0.1–0.2%
Packaging and Storage
1. Packaged in 50 kg plastic drums or 200 kg iron drums.
2. Must be stored in a tightly sealed container. Prolonged exposure to humid environments may reduce transparency, but the product remains usable.
Long-term exposure to air may cause yellowing and increased viscosity.
3. This product is non-toxic and non-hazardous for transport.
4. Shelf Life: 1 year
