IOTA 9942A Caprylyl Methicone can be used as a substitute for Dow Corning DC 3196 and Momentive Silsoft 034. It is a low-viscosity, alkyl-modified polymethylsiloxane containing a caprylyl group and functions effectively as an emollient. The product is compatible with cosmetic oils and waxes.
IOTA 9942A improves the spreadability of creams and lotions, imparting a silky and smooth sensory feel. It is a physiologically inert silicone fluid with excellent solvent compatibility and outstanding volatility. The product provides effective conditioning for both skin and hair, delivering a fresh, dry, and lightweight after-feel without irritation or adverse effects.
As an ideal conditioning agent and carrier, IOTA 9942A is widely used in personal care applications such as skin care, sun care, color cosmetics, deodorants, antiperspirants, and hair conditioning products.

Packaging and Storage
1. Supplied in 20 kg and 170 kg iron drums.
2. Store in a cool, dry, and light-protected area at 0–40°C. Keep containers tightly sealed. After opening, reseal promptly and use as soon as possible.
3. This product is classified as non-toxic and non-hazardous for transportation.
