Product Description
IOTA 91003C is a dispersion of silicone resin in isododecane. It is easy to use and forms a water-resistant, non-migrating film. This product has moderate volatility, excellent hydrophobicity, film-forming ability, and moisturizing properties, making it widely applicable in sunscreens, skincare, color cosmetics, and hair care products.

Properties and Applications
IOTA 91003C combines hydrophobicity, film-forming capability, and moderate volatility to deliver a high-performance silicone resin. It forms a lightweight, breathable, and continuous protective film on the skin or hair surface. Its excellent film-forming properties provide long-lasting effects, enhance water resistance, and create a natural glossy finish with a smooth sensory experience.
This product is widely used in color cosmetics, skincare, and hair care products, including long-wear foundations, waterproof mascaras, sunscreens, hair conditioners, and styling gels. Due to its moderate volatility, it is recommended to control the processing temperature below 50°C to maintain stability and formulation performance.
Recommended Usage
Color cosmetics: 2%–10%
Hair care products: 0.5%–5%
Typically, IOTA 91003C uses isododecane as the carrier. If stored in an unsealed environment for an extended period, isododecane may evaporate, causing silicone resin to precipitate. Therefore, the product must be stored in a tightly sealed container. If solid resin is observed, add an appropriate amount of isododecane and mix thoroughly to dissolve and restore functionality.
Packaging and Storage
1. Packaged in 25 kg plastic drums or 200 kg iron drums.
2. During storage and transport, prevent moisture, acids, bases, and other contaminants from entering.
3. This product is non-toxic and non-hazardous for transport.
4. Shelf life: 2 years
5. Store in a cool place. After opening, always reseal to prevent evaporation and resin precipitation, and use the product as soon as possible.
