IOTA 91003B is a dimethicone dispersion of MQ silicone resin, designed for convenient use. It forms a long-lasting, water-resistant, transfer-resistant film and provides moisturizing benefits in skincare products. Compared with pure dimethicone, it offers superior water resistance and some adhesion to powder-based cosmetics. It is primarily used in skincare formulations.

Properties and Applications

IOTA 91003B features excellent hydrophobicity and film-forming ability. It creates a lightweight, continuous, and breathable protective layer on skin or hair, delivering long-lasting performance and significantly enhancing water resistance. Its film-forming properties help lock in active ingredients while improving the stability and adhesion of cosmetic or haircare effects.

It is suitable for use in color cosmetics, skincare, and haircare products, including long-wear foundations, waterproof mascaras, sunscreens, conditioners, and styling gels. Due to its moderate volatility, it is recommended to maintain formulation and processing temperatures below 50°C to ensure product stability and prevent loss of active ingredients.

Recommended Usage Levels

Color cosmetics: 2%–10%

Haircare products: 0.5%–5%

The exact usage can be adjusted based on product type and desired effect for optimal performance.

Packaging and Storage

1. Packaged in 25 kg plastic drums or 200 kg metal drums.

2. During storage and transport, avoid moisture and contamination from acids, bases, or other impurities.
