IOTA 99366 is an oil-compatible alkyl-functional polyether polydimethylsiloxane. It exhibits excellent W/Si (water-in-silicone) and W/O (water-in-oil) emulsification performance, providing high emulsification stability for both silicone and non-silicone esters. Additionally, it offers superior dispersing capabilities for powdered ingredients.

Properties and Applications
IOTA 99366 has outstanding W/Si and W/O emulsification capabilities with excellent stability, and can be easily emulsified even at low temperatures. It is effective not only for silicone oils but also for a wide range of non-silicone esters, imparting a silky, non-greasy skin feel. This product is suitable for a variety of personal care applications, including skincare, color cosmetics, and sunscreen formulations.
For best results, the oil phase should first be thoroughly mixed with IOTA 99366, then the water phase should be gradually added in portions under rapid stirring to form a uniform and stable emulsion. Increasing stirring speed can enhance system stability, and increasing the proportion of the water phase can raise emulsion viscosity. If all ingredients are liquid, emulsification can be performed at room temperature without homogenization, using only rapid stirring. Adding 0.5–2% electrolytes such as sodium chloride to the water phase can further improve storage stability, and adding antifreeze agents like propylene glycol or glycerin can enhance freeze–thaw resistance.
As a primary emulsifier, the recommended usage level is 0.3–5% of the total formulation. The exact dosage can be optimized based on the specific formulation requirements.
Packaging and Storage
1. Supplied in 25 kg plastic drums or 200 kg iron drums.
2. During storage and transportation, protect from moisture and prevent contamination from acids, bases, or other impurities. Avoid direct sunlight and rain. Containers should be tightly sealed after each use.
3. This product is non-toxic and non-hazardous, suitable for general cargo transport.
4. Shelf life: 1 year.
