Product Description
IOTA 99336 is a lipophilic polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane with excellent W/Si (water-in-silicone) and W/O (water-in-oil) emulsifying capability. High water-loading “water-release” emulsions can be achieved with a low emulsifier dosage. The product has a slight characteristic odor typical of polyether-modified silicones.

Properties and Applications
IOTA 99336 provides outstanding W/Si (water-in-silicone) and W/O (water-in-oil) emulsification performance. It is easy to emulsify, supports low-temperature processing, and delivers a silky, smooth, non-greasy skin feel. The product is widely applicable in personal care formulations, including skincare, color cosmetics, and sunscreen products.
For use, it is recommended to first premix this product thoroughly with the oil phase, then slowly add the water phase into the oil phase under rapid stirring to form a stable emulsion. Increasing the stirring speed helps enhance emulsion stability, while increasing the water phase ratio can raise the viscosity of the system. If all raw materials are liquid, emulsification can be carried out directly at room temperature without homogenization, and a stable emulsion can be obtained through high-speed stirring alone. In addition, adding 0.5%–2% electrolytes (such as sodium chloride) to the water phase can further improve storage stability.
When used as a primary emulsifier, the recommended dosage is 1%–4%. When used as a co-emulsifier, the recommended dosage is 0.1%–1.5% based on the total formulation weight.
Packaging and Storage
1. Packed in 25 kg plastic drums or 200 kg steel drums.
2. Protect from moisture during storage and transportation, and prevent contamination by acids, alkalis, or other impurities. Avoid direct sunlight and rain exposure. Containers must be tightly sealed after each use.
3. This product is classified as non-toxic and non-hazardous and may be transported as general cargo.
4. Shelf life: 2 years.
