Chemical Structure
Product Description
IOTA OPSZ-9150 is an organopolysilazane resin produced under industrial manufacturing conditions. Its molecular structure contains active Si–NH–Si bonds, which can undergo curing reactions at room temperature. The curing process mainly involves hydrolysis and oxidation of these Si–NH–Si bonds.
The resin also shows good reactivity with hydroxyl groups (–OH) on substrate surfaces, contributing to strong adhesion in coating systems. Under an appropriate catalyst system, the Si–H and Si–NH–Si structures further react to form a dense three-dimensional cross-linked network.
After curing, the material exhibits high mechanical strength and surface hardness while maintaining good transparency. Pencil hardness can reach up to 9H under specific curing conditions.

Performance and Applications
After curing, IOTA OPSZ-9150 forms a transparent, dense inorganic–organic hybrid coating with good mechanical and chemical resistance. It shows resistance to alcohols, ketones, and various organic solvents.
Typical Applications Include
Anti-graffiti coatings for building surfaces
Anti-corrosion coatings for metal substrates
Curing agent for silicone resin systems
Hardening and modification additive for conventional organic resins
Solubility and Usage
IOTA OPSZ-9150 is a single-component material and is soluble in organic solvents such as ethers and alkanes.
Alcohol solvents and water are not recommended for dilution, as they may cause premature reaction and affect performance.
Packaging and Storage
Packaging: 1L / 5L sealed metal containers
Storage: Store in a sealed, dry, and cool environment
Cleaning
After application, tools should be cleaned immediately with acetone or solvent oil.
Once cured, IOTA OPSZ-9150 cannot be removed using common organic solvents. Removal may be achieved by soaking in a 10% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution for more than 5 hours.
Shelf Life
Unopened: 2 years
After opening: At least 6 months when stored sealed, dry, and at low temperature
For use in humid environments, purging the container headspace with nitrogen is recommended to extend service life.
Precautions
Ensure adequate ventilation during use
Wear appropriate protective equipment (gloves, mask, safety glasses)
Avoid contact of uncured material with moisture and humid air
Seal the container immediately after use
