Chemical Name: Organopolysilazane
Chemical Category: Organopolysilazane Resin
CAS NO.: 475645-84-2
Product Description
IOTA 9283 is a methyl- and fluorine-functional liquid organopolysilazane designed for room-temperature curable hydrophobic coatings. The material contains Si-NH-Si bonds that react with moisture and oxygen at ambient conditions, enabling self-curing and strong adhesion to substrate hydroxyl groups. It forms a three-dimensional crosslinked network after curing, providing excellent mechanical performance. Fluorine groups impart outstanding hydrophobicity while maintaining transparency with visible light transmittance above 95%. IOTA 9283 has low viscosity, good adhesion, and can be applied by brushing, dipping, spraying, or wiping on metals, alloys, glass, coatings, and plastics such as PP, PC, PVC, and PMMA.
