High temperature silicone rubber (HTV) is a special synthetic rubber with unique characteristics that other conventional rubbers do not possess. It has excellent high temperature resistance and can maintain good elasticity and stability in high temperature environments. This characteristic has made HTV widely used in many industries.
1. Electronics industry
High-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber has extremely high resistance to high and low temperatures and excellent electrical properties. Its performance remains basically unchanged over a wide range of temperature and electrical frequency. This stability makes high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber an ideal material for manufacturing electronic appliances, which are used in various types of electrical connectors, electrical sealing and shock absorbers, high-temperature potentiometer seals, and other applications. The application of high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber products can ensure stable, safe and reliable performance of electronic appliances. At the same time, by adding conductive fillers to high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, conductive connectors can be manufactured. These connectors have stable performance and accurate digital display.
2. Wire and cable
Silicone rubber is an ideal insulating material for the wire and cable industry. High-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber has excellent high-temperature resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance, and electrical properties. When high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber burns and decomposes, the resulting silica residue plays an important role in insulation. Therefore, high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber can greatly improve the performance of wire and cable and ensure their safe and reliable operation. Silicone rubber is widely used in the production of power cables, marine cables, heating cables, ignition cables, atomic energy device cables, and aviation wires.
3. Automotive industry
Silicone rubber is widely used, for example, in engine and transmission parts such as bushings, cushions, belts, protective covers, caps, and seals that require resistance to temperatures of 175°C, and in some cases even to temperatures above 300°C. For this situation, general synthetic rubber cannot meet the demand, so silicone rubber is needed.
4. Aerospace
Aircraft require materials with long-term resistance to ultra-high and low temperatures (-75 to 200°C), ozone resistance, radiation resistance, aging resistance, flame retardancy, and other properties. The silicone rubber products used in these aircraft include various rubber hoses, sealing washers, gaskets, leather cups, valves, shock absorbers, hot air ducts, switch sheaths, oxygen masks, fireproof partitions, hoses for instruments and meters, cushions, wires, cables, plugs, sockets, switch buttons, and so on.
5. Medical and health field
Silicone rubber is non-toxic, biocompatible, impervious to high temperatures, and has good physical and mechanical properties, making it widely used in the medical industry. Silicone rubber can be used to manufacture blood transfusion tubes, various catheters, drainage tubes, cosmetic and repair materials, artificial skin, drug delivery systems, and biosensors. Silicone rubber can also be used to manufacture various human organs, such as artificial larynx, artificial lung, retinal implants, artificial heart spherical mitral valve, esophagus, trachea, artificial joints and prosthetics.
