Technological Breakthrough! Domestic Low-Volatility Hydrogen-Containing Silicone Oil Launched, Breaking Monopoly in High-End Market
Recently, major technological breakthroughs have been made by domestic silicone enterprises. A low-volatility hydrogen-containing silicone oil produced by a solvent-free process has been officially mass-produced. Its performance indicators have reached the international advanced level, successfully breaking the monopoly of foreign enterprises in the high-end hydrogen-containing silicone oil field, filling the gap of domestic related products, and providing a domestic substitution plan for high-end fields such as aerospace, medical care and food.
The traditional production process of hydrogen-containing silicone oil has many pain points. Not only the content of D3-D10 cyclic bodies is as high as 3000ppm, with excessive volatile residues, but also there are problems such as hydrogen content fluctuation of ±0.15% and hydrogen chloride residue >50ppm, leading to potential safety hazards of products in high-end applications and failure to meet the strict requirements of aerospace, medical and other fields. The low-volatility hydrogen-containing silicone oil mass-produced this time has achieved performance breakthroughs through three core technologies: adopting a 5℃ precision temperature-controlled hydrolysis reactor to realize directional hydrolysis of methyl dichlorosilane, with a linear hydrolyzate molecular weight dispersity of <1.1, eliminating the generation of cyclic by-products; using a nano-scale passivation film to wrap active hydrogen, making the Si-H attenuation rate during storage <0.1%/month, completely eliminating chloride ion residues; through a three-stage molecular distillation tower series process, the D3-D10 cyclic body interception rate is increased to 99.5%, and the volatile emission is controlled within 0.01%.
Performance tests show that the low-volatility hydrogen-containing silicone oil has excellent resistance to extreme environments. After continuous baking at 250℃ for 100 hours, the hydrogen content only decreases by 0.05%, and it can still maintain good fluidity at -70℃, with viscosity stable within 800cP, which can be widely used in various fields. In the military field, the missile seals prepared by it can resist 380℃ high-temperature impact, achieve zero leakage of the hydraulic system, and the service life exceeds 12 years; in the medical field, after being used for the modification of artificial heart valves, it can reduce the in vivo calcification rate by 47% and extend the service life to 25 years; in the food field, when used as a release agent, the volatile organic compound (VOC) content is <10ppm, which fully meets the food-grade safety standards.
At the same time, important progress has also been made in the preparation technology of terminal hydrogen-containing silicone oil developed by Jiande Baisha Chemical Co., Ltd. It adopts a linear phosphazene chloride composite catalyst, solving the problems of low product activity, excessive low-boiling substances and cyclic residues in the traditional acid balance catalytic process. The product meets the EU REACH regulations on cyclic residues, and can be directly used in the production of high-end textile finishing agents without complex subsequent treatment, further enriching the product system of domestic hydrogen-containing silicone oil. Industry experts said that these technological breakthroughs indicate that China's hydrogen-containing silicone oil industry has moved from passive imitation to active innovation, which will significantly enhance China's core competitiveness in the field of high-end silicone materials.
