Fluorosilicone oil has been deeply involved in the niche markets of aviation and automotive, leading the market demand
1.Upgrade of aerospace sealing systems
Fluorosilicone oil-derived fluorosilicone rubber seals have been applied in batches in the aerospace field. They can withstand alternating temperatures ranging from -60℃ to 200℃, and the volume change rate is less than 2% after being immersed in aviation fuel and hydraulic oil for 1000 hours. After the rocket propellant tank was sealed with this material, the leakage rate was reduced to below 1×10⁻⁹ Pa·m³/s, successfully passing the vibration and shock tests during the launch phase.
2. The scale of the automotive market continues to expand
Driven by the demand for automotive sealing and lubrication, the global market size of fluorosilicone oil in the automotive field reached 213.92 million US dollars in 2024 and is expected to exceed 379.54 million US dollars in 2032, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.43% from 2026 to 2032. Among them, the demand for fluorosilicone oil-based grease for engine crankshaft oil seals has increased significantly. It can still maintain stable lubrication performance at a high temperature of 150℃, reducing the oil seal leakage rate by 65%.
3. The electronic protective coating has achieved mass production
Fluorosilicone acrylate emulsion coatings have entered the consumer electronics supply chain. This material has been modified by fluorosilicone monomers, and its low-temperature resistance has been enhanced to -40 ℃ without cracking. The salt spray corrosion resistance test has reached the 1000-hour level. After being applied to 5G base station antennas, the maintenance cycle of the equipment in high-humidity and high-salt environments can be extended from three months to one year, and the operation and maintenance costs can be reduced by 40%.
4. The industrial standard system has been gradually improved
Special standards for fluorosilicone oil materials are being advanced for formulation, aiming to cover performance indicators of aviation-grade, automotive-grade and electronic-grade products. Among them, aviation fluorosilicone oil clearly requires 12 key parameters such as temperature resistance range and fuel tolerance. For electronic-grade products, a new limit on the content of low-molecular-weight volatile substances (≤0.1%) has been added. After the implementation of the standards, the market will be further regulated and the domestic substitution rate of high-end products will be promoted to increase.
