1.Medical-grade fluorosilicone oil breaks the import monopoly
In recent years, the application of fluorosilicone oil in the medical field has made significant progress. Domestic medical-grade fluorosilicone oil has passed the ISO 10993 biocompatibility certification and successfully replaced imported products. This type of fluorosilicone oil has a stable molecular structure and can maintain lubricating performance within a wide temperature range of -50 ℃ to 260℃. It has passed multiple tests including acute toxicity and cytotoxicity, and is suitable for highly sensitive equipment such as surgical instruments and endoscopes. Its long-lasting lubrication property reduces the maintenance frequency of medical equipment by more than three times, significantly lowering the maintenance frequency
Low hospital operating costs.

2. New breakthroughs in high-temperature lubrication in the aerospace field
The fluorosilicone oil developed by the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has achieved a technological breakthrough in the aviation field. By introducing phenyl and fluorine elements into its molecules, the freezing point is reduced to below -60 ℃, the decomposition temperature exceeds 360℃, and the load-bearing capacity is increased to over 20kg. This material is prepared through a one-step polymerization process without the need for strong acid catalysis. It has advantages such as low production cost and environmental friendliness, and can meet the lubrication requirements of aero engines under extreme temperatures, filling the gap of high-end lubrication materials in China.


3. Stability verification under extreme environments
Laboratory data shows that after the new fluorosilicone oil is continuously operated at 300℃ for 20,000 cycles, the lubrication performance degradation rate is less than 5%, far exceeding the industry standard. Its acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance enable it to remain stable even when in contact with complex environments such as disinfectants and blood. It has been applied in precision equipment such as dental high-speed mobile phone bearings (under 300,000 revolutions per minute conditions) and PCR instruments.


4. Expansion of biocompatibility and material compatibility
The low surface energy characteristic of fluorosilicone oil enables it to form a hydrophobic and oleophobic protective film on the surface of medical devices, effectively preventing the adhesion of devices to tissues. Its compatibility with various materials such as metal, rubber and plastic has further expanded its application scope in medical equipment, for instance, high-end devices like CT machine slip rings and MRI moving parts. In the future, fluorosilicone oil is expected to achieve more breakthroughs in emerging fields such as artificial joint lubrication and biochips.
