Product Description
IOTA 22711 is a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) polymer terminated with an inert butyl group at one end of the molecular chain and a dimethylvinylsiloxy group at the other end. It exhibits excellent compatibility with both linear and branched vinyl-terminated silicone fluids.
IOTA 22711 can be used as a hardness and modulus modifier in addition-cure silicone rubber, silicone gel, and high-temperature silicone rubber formulations. Owing to the presence of the vinyl functional group, it can undergo hydrosilylation reactions with compounds or polymers containing Si-H bonds, thereby introducing inert polysiloxane chain segments into the terminal groups or side chains of the target molecules or polymers.
In addition, IOTA 22711 can be crosslinked and cured in the presence of organic peroxides, making it suitable for a variety of silicone material modification and functionalization applications.

Applications
This product is a macromonomer terminated with an inert dimethylbutylsiloxy group at one end and a reactive dimethylvinylsiloxy group at the other end. It exhibits good compatibility with α,ω-vinyl-terminated silicone fluids, terminal-and-side-chain vinyl silicone fluids, and side-chain vinyl silicone fluids.
Through hydrosilylation reactions, peroxide-initiated free-radical polymerization, and other curing or grafting mechanisms, this product can be used to chemically modify addition-cure silicone rubbers, silicone gels, high-temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubbers, coatings, and related silicone formulations. It enables effective adjustment of key material properties, including hardness, modulus, and elongation at break of silicone rubbers, gels, and other silicone-based materials.
To meet customers' specific molecular design requirements, the molecular weight and viscosity of this product can be customized according to application needs.


Packaging and Storage

1. This product is available in 1 kg, 5 kg, 25 kg, and 200 kg internally coated steel drums, as well as IBC containers. All packages are nitrogen-filled and sealed to ensure product stability.

2. The product should be stored in a sealed package in a dry and cool place, avoiding contact with acids and bases, and kept away from fire sources.

3. The effective storage period is 6 months.
