Recently, domestic silicone enterprises have continuously reported technological achievements. Enterprises such as Shanghai Kangpeng Environmental Protection and Anhui IOTA Silicone have successively launched high-performance phenyl silicone oil products. Among them, UC290 methyl phenyl silicone oil developed by Kangpeng Environmental Protection and IOTA255 phenyl silicone oil by IOTA have achieved core performance comparable to international top products, breaking the long-term monopoly of international giants such as Dow Chemical and Shin-Etsu Chemical in the high-end phenyl silicone oil field, and filling the application gap of domestic medium and high-phenyl silicone oil in many high-end scenarios.
Traditional domestic phenyl silicone oil has pain points such as single performance, uncontrollable parameters and high impurity content. Especially in terms of phenyl content adjustment, viscosity control and low volatility, there is a gap with international products, which cannot meet the strict requirements of high-end fields such as aerospace and precision electronics. The domestic high-end phenyl silicone oil launched this time has achieved all-round breakthroughs through core technological innovation: Kangpeng Environmental Protection's UC290 adopts independently developed phenyl-modified siloxane molecular design technology, realizing customizable phenyl molar content of 5%-50%, volatility controlled within 0.5%, temperature resistance range covering -70℃ to 350℃, methoxy residue ≤1%wt, and impurity content far lower than industry standards; IOTA255 of IOTA, relying on mature supply chain integration capabilities, achieves precise adjustment of key parameters such as viscosity and refractive index, with a price 20%-30% lower than that of international similar products, and has the advantage of fast-response customized services.
Performance tests show that the two domestic products perform excellently in multiple scenarios. When UC290 is used for lubricating aerospace engine bearings, it can adapt to a wide temperature range of -60℃~250℃ when compounded with perfluoropolyether, with a stable friction coefficient of 0.02; when used for lubricating semiconductor manufacturing equipment, it can meet the requirements of high vacuum and low volatility, significantly improving the service life of equipment. When IOTA255 is applied in the high-end daily chemical field, its compatibility with color powder is increased by 50%, which can create a 16-hour non-makeup removal system, and at the same time, it can improve the carrying capacity of active ingredients in skin care products, with a transdermal absorption rate of 78%. In addition, Kangpeng Environmental Protection has also launched UC740 and UC750 series diffusion pump oils, both of which are domestic firsts, successfully breaking the technological monopoly of foreign enterprises in the high-vacuum field.
Industry experts said that the technological breakthrough of domestic phenyl silicone oil indicates that China's silicone industry has moved from basic manufacturing to high-end innovation, which not only reduces the dependence of domestic downstream enterprises on imported products, but also enhances China's core competitiveness in the global high-end silicone material field.
