Expansion of Fluorosilicone Oil Application Scenarios and Activation of Market New Driving Forces in Emerging Industries

1. Breakthrough in Medical Health Field: Biocompatible Materials Obtain Certification
Fluorosilicone oil, with its non-toxic, inert, and sterilization-resistant properties, has achieved significant breakthroughs in the medical field. The optimized and modified medical-grade fluorosilicone oil has passed a complete set of biocompatibility tests and can withstand conventional sterilization processes such as gamma rays and high-temperature steam. It has been applied in scenarios such as minimally invasive puncture devices, artificial joint lubrication, and infusion catheter coatings. Its extremely low friction coefficient (reduced to below 0.05) reduces the friction between the instrument and tissues, lowering the risk of adhesion; its excellent hydrophobicity (water contact angle over 115°) effectively prevents body fluid adhesion, enhancing the safety and service life of medical devices. With the growth in demand for precision medicine and high-end consumables, the annual growth rate of medical fluorosilicone oil market exceeds 25%, making it an emerging growth point in the industry.

2. Explosion of Data Center Liquid Cooling: Becomes Core Medium for Immersion Cooling
The expansion of high-density computing power in global data centers has promoted the popularization of immersion cooling technology. Fluorosilicone oil, due to its high insulation, chemical stability, and excellent thermal conductivity, has become the preferred cooling medium for the new generation. Its electrical insulation strength exceeds 50kV/mm, allowing it to directly immerse server motherboards and chips without short-circuit risks. At the same time, it achieves 360° full-range heat dissipation, with a heat dissipation efficiency that is more than three times higher than that of air cooling. Compared to traditional fluorinated liquids, fluorosilicone oil is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and recyclable, conforming to the trend of environmental protection. The domestic demand for fluorosilicone oil for data center liquid cooling will increase by more than 40% in 2025. With the advancement of the "East Data West Computing" project, the market size is expected to double from 2026 to 2030, making it the third-largest application field for fluorosilicone oil.

3. New environmental regulations drive upgrades, low PFAS products become industry mainstream
In March 2026, the US Environmental Protection Agency expanded the regulatory scope of PFAS, and fluorine materials containing long-chain perfluoroalkyl substances faced export restrictions, pushing the industry to accelerate product structure adjustment. Domestic enterprises focused on the research and development of short-chain fluorosilicone oils, developing low-risk products such as trifluoropropyl modified ones. The molecular structure does not contain long-chain perfluoroalkyl substances, avoiding international environmental barriers. The new low PFAS fluorosilicone oils retain core advantages such as oil resistance, solvent resistance, and low surface energy, conforming to the latest regulations of EU REACH, US EPA, etc., and have passed environmental certifications in multiple countries. In export-oriented industries such as textiles, coatings, and outdoor products, the penetration rate of low PFAS fluorosilicone oils has rapidly increased, becoming a key guarantee for enterprises to stabilize their international supply chains.

4. Aerospace and High-End Equipment: High Performance Drives Specialized Development
The aerospace industry has strict requirements for materials to withstand high and low temperatures, resist radiation, and be lightweight. Fluorosilicone oil has become an indispensable special material. It maintains stable performance at -60℃ ultra-low temperatures and 200℃ high temperatures and can be used in scenarios such as sealing for aerospace engines, lubrication for satellite components, and damping fluid for aviation instruments. In the field of high-end equipment manufacturing, fluorosilicone oil is used as a chemical-resistant release agent, high-temperature lubricant, and anti-corrosion coating, and is applied in industries such as new energy vehicles, rail transportation, and precision molds. With the development of domestic large aircraft and high-end robots, the demand for high-performance fluorosilicone oil continues to rise, driving the industry towards customization and specialization, and supporting the autonomy and controllability of China's high-end manufacturing industry chain.
