Low-hydrogen silicone oil: A "hidden assistant" in multiple fields, with application scenarios continuously expanding
Compared to the high reactivity of high-hydrogen silicone oil, low-hydrogen silicone oil (with a hydrogen content of 0.1% - 0.8%) has emerged as a "universal intermediate" in both daily life and industrial fields due to its superior stability and compatibility. Its presence can be found in various scenarios such as textiles, cosmetics, and agriculture. With the advancement of modification technology, the application scope is constantly expanding.

1.Core Feature: Balancing Activity and Stability
The Si-H bond quantity in the molecular chains of low-hydrogen silicone oils is relatively small, resulting in moderate reactivity while still retaining the inherent properties of silicone oils such as high-temperature resistance (-50°C to 200°C) and hydrophobic lubrication. By precisely adjusting the hydrogen content, multiple functions ranging from cross-linking assistance to surface modification can be achieved. It can be used as a raw material for synthesis to participate in reactions, or directly as a functional additive, with compatibility covering various materials such as resins, fibers, and plastics.

2. In the field of daily life: Penetrating into daily consumption scenarios
In the textile industry, low-hydrogen silicon oil is the core raw material for the finishing of high-end fabrics. The fabrics treated with it not only have a soft and smooth feel, but also possess long-lasting waterproof and anti-wrinkle properties without affecting breathability. It is widely used in outdoor clothing and high-end home textiles. In the cosmetics field, modified low-hydrogen silicon oil can be added as an emulsifier and film-forming agent to skin care products and hair conditioners to form a moisturizing protective film, enhancing the smoothness and water resistance of the products.

3. Industrial Scenario: Enhancing Production Efficiency
In the industrial sector, the application value of low-hydrogen silicone oil is diverse. As an internal demolding agent for silicone rubber, it can reduce the adhesion between precision products and molds, minimize mold contamination, and extend the service life of molds. In coating and ink systems, it can be used as a leveling agent and defoamer, improving the flatness of the coating, suppressing the formation of bubbles in high-temperature and high-shear environments, and enhancing the appearance quality of the products. Additionally, it can also be used as a synthetic agricultural spreader to enhance the adhesion of pesticides and fertilizers on plant surfaces, thereby improving utilization efficiency.

4. Technological Optimization: Precisely Adapting to Specific Requirements
The current industry is focusing on customized research and development of low-hydrogen silicone oils. By adjusting the molecular structure (such as side-chain type, end-group type) and hydrogen content specifications, it can adapt to different scenarios and requirements. For example, the low volatile fraction model can meet the impurity control requirements of electronic packaging, while the polyether modified model is more suitable for the mildness requirements of cosmetics. Technological upgrades have driven low-hydrogen silicone oils to extend from general products to high-value-added niche categories, and the market potential continues to be released.
