1.A breakthrough has been made in radiation-resistant fluorosilicone rubber
Recently, a research group of organosilicon materials from a certain university has developed a new type of fluorosilicone rubber based on a mutual reinforcement strategy. This material demonstrates excellent radiation resistance under continuous irradiation with 300KGy gamma rays. Its nanomaterials can efficiently eliminate active free radicals generated during the irradiation process and inhibit damage to fluorosilicone rubber.


2. Used for X-ray detection imaging
Researchers used this fluorosilicone rubber as the X-ray detection imaging material and achieved a spatial resolution of 19.0lp mm⁻¹ and a detection limit of 3.78µGy s⁻¹, providing a brand-new idea for the new application of fluorosilicone rubber in high-energy irradiation environments. The relevant achievements have been published in the journal "Advanced Functional Materials".


3. Oil-resistant fluorosilicone rubber foam materials have been introduced
Another university team has developed an oil-resistant fluorosilicone rubber foam material through anionic ring-opening polymerization and green chemical foaming strategies. This material features excellent mechanical flexibility over a wide temperature range, structural stability, superhydrophobicity on the surface and high electrical conductivity.


4. Application potential in complex solvent environments
The sensors prepared in this way can respond to different deformation modes in weakly polar or non-polar solvents, demonstrating excellent anti-swelling performance and high sensitivity, and showing great application potential in the fields of thermistors, smart sensors and wearable electronic devices.
