Dimethyl Silicone Oil:
Polydimethylsiloxane, also known as dimethyl silicone oil, varies in appearance from colorless, transparent, volatile liquids to highly viscous liquids or silica gel depending on the relative molecular mass. It is odorless, has high transparency, and possesses heat resistance, cold resistance, little change in viscosity with temperature, water resistance, low surface tension, thermal conductivity with a coefficient of 0.134 - 0.159 W/(m·K), and light transmittance of 100%. Dimethyl silicone oil is non-toxic, odorless, physiologically inert, and has good chemical stability. It has good electrical insulation, weather resistance, and hydrophobicity, and has a high shear resistance. It can be used for a long time at -50°C to 200°C. With excellent physical properties, it can be directly used for moisture-proof insulation, damping, shock absorption, defoaming, lubrication, polishing, etc., and is widely used as insulation lubricant, shock-proof, oil and dust-proof, dielectric fluid and heat carrier. It is also used as defoaming agent, mold release agent, paint and additive for daily chemicals.
Hydrogen-containing Silicone Oil:
Hydrogen-containing silicone oil can be cross-linked at an appropriate temperature under the action of a metal catalyst to form a waterproof film on the surface of various substrates. It is widely used as a waterproofing agent, anti-adhesive agent or anti-corrosion agent for fabrics, fire extinguishing agents (dry powder), paper, metals, leather, wood, glass, cement, ceramics and marble.
Hydroxyl Silicone Oil:
Hydroxyl silicone oil, also known as dimethyl hydroxyl silicone oil, has the structural formula HO[(CH3)2SiO]nH. It is a linear polymer with repeated siloxane bonds as the main chain, methyl as the side group and hydroxyl group as the end group. This silicone oil is colorless, transparent, odorless and tasteless. It is soluble in organic solvents such as carbon tetrachloride, benzene, chloroform, ether and toluene, but insoluble in water and ethanol. Low-viscosity hydroxyl silicone oil has a certain solubility in water. It can be used to manufacture organosilicon hydroxyl emulsions and as fabric, paper and leather treatment agents. Dimethyl hydroxyl silicone oil is widely used as a structure control agent in the processing of silicone rubber. It can effectively control the structuring effect between the mixed rubber and white carbon black, improve the processing performance of silicone rubber and extend the storage period of the rubber compound. Dimethyl hydroxyl silicone oil can also be used to synthesize intermediates of various polysiloxanes.
Amino Silicone Oil:
Amino silicone oil is the basic component specifically used for softening agents in textiles. It has the best adsorbability, compatibility and easy emulsification. Using a mixer or homogenizer, amino silicone oil can easily be emulsified by appropriate surfactants into a stable and transparent microemulsion. It can be used alone or combined with other organosilicon or organic softeners to form a special softening agent, suitable for the softening treatment of various textiles. The amine value of amino silicone oil is between 0.2 and 1.2. The higher the amine value, the better the softness and smoothness, but the greater the yellowing.
Phenyl Silicone Oil:
Replacing methyl silicone oil with methyl phenyl silicone oil in the application field of methyl silicone oil can give full play to its advantages of low-temperature resistance, high-temperature resistance, lubricity and compatibility. Low-phenyl silicone oil is particularly suitable for occasions requiring high cold resistance; medium-phenyl and high-phenyl silicone oils have higher thermal stability and good radiation resistance. They can be used as heat treatment baths for metal products, high-temperature heating oils, gas chromatography carriers, high and low temperature lubricating oils for electronic and electrical equipment. High-temperature greases made by adding carbon black, lithium soap or molybdenum disulfide can be used for lubrication of high-temperature fan bearings, ball bearings, automotive engines, textile dryers, etc.
