① Silicone oil (modified silicone oil) is also grafted and modified for certain properties. It is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid, hydrophobic and oleophobic, with high boiling point and low freezing point, good heat resistance and chemical stability, and is used in various industries as a chemical additive. The most common use is as a defoaming agent in various industries, hydraulic oil, high-grade lubricating oil, filler surface treatment agent and demulsifier, latex coagulant, and can also be used as a waterproof/water reducing agent for building materials, textiles, paper and many other substances, lubricant and release agent in the plastics industry, hair moisturizer for personal care, foam stabilizer in foamed polyurethane, and also used as a leveling agent in the agricultural ink coating industry. It is also a good electrical insulator.
 
②Silicone rubber is a linear structure polymer with a very high molecular weight (100,000). After adding fillers and other additives and vulcanization, it can be obtained as an elastomer, namely silicone rubber. Silicone rubber has electrical insulation, chemical stability, physiological inertness, and good elasticity over a wide temperature range. It is mainly used to manufacture rubber products for use at high or low temperatures and artificial organs required in plastic surgery.
 
③Silicone resin is a linear structure polymer containing active groups that can be further cured. It can be used to make heat-resistant high-grade electrical insulating paint (silicone paint), heat-resistant plastics (silicone plastics), laminated glass cloth, protective coatings, and so on.
