  1. Silicone Fluids: Silicone fluids are migratory wear additives. When added to thermoplastic plastics, the additives slowly migrate to the surface of the part and form a continuous film, thereby providing wear resistance.

  2. Modified Polydimethylsiloxane: By chemical modification, active groups such as —NCO or —OH are attached, functionalizing the surface of polydimethylsiloxane. This allows it to be "anchored" in the coating through chemical bonds, enhancing the flexibility and rigidity of the coating, and improving the scratch resistance of PU furniture coatings.

  3. Functionalized Graphene Oxide/Polydimethylsiloxane Nanocomposite Coatings: Incorporating functionalized graphene oxide into polydimethylsiloxane coatings can improve mechanical properties, especially scratch resistance. Studies have shown that by adding only 0.75 wt% of functionalized graphene oxide, the microhardness increased by 40%, and scratch resistance increased by 83%.

  4. Polydimethylsiloxane Coatings with Silica Nanoparticles: Modified silica nanoparticles containing epoxy groups are uniformly dispersed in polydimethylsiloxane coatings, which is beneficial for scratch resistance without significantly affecting the transparency of the polydimethylsiloxane coating. Studies have shown that the first critical load of polydimethylsiloxane coatings containing 0.75 wt% of modified silica nanoparticles increased by 66.7% and 73.3% compared to pure polydimethylsiloxane coatings.

  5. Ultra-High Molecular Weight Functional Silicone Additives: Compared to traditional low molecular weight organosilicon, these additives offer better processing and demolding properties, lower friction coefficients, and a wider range of performance. They can achieve increased surface interface concentration and unique surface segregation characteristics with lower silicone levels through novel functionalized ultra-high molecular weight silicones.
